Susan Lewis is the Associate Librarian for Public Services at the Pence Law Library. She holds a B.A. in political science from the University of California at Los Angeles, a J.D., cum laude, from Southwestern University, and an M.Libr. from the University of Washington in Seattle. She is admitted to the practice of law in California (inactive). Prior to arriving at the Pence Law Library, Susan served as an academic reference librarian at the law libraries of Yale, Northwestern, Willamette and Georgetown (temporarily).
Susan serves on the American Association of Law Libraries (AALL) Executive Board as Treasurer and chairs the Board’s Finance & Budget Committee. She has also chaired the AALL Recruitment Committee and the Developing Law Librarians for the Future Special Committee. Susan has also served as Secretary-Treasurer of AALL’s Academic Section (ALL-SIS) and chaired that section’s Nominations Committee. She has also served on the AALL Government Relations, Scholarship, Mentoring, Copyright, and Committee Structure Committees.
In addition, Susan has served on the Executive Board of the Law Librarians' Society of Washington, D.C., (LLSDC), chaired the Scholarship and Nominations Committees of the Southeastern Chapter of AALL (SEAALL), and served as Secretary of the Western Pacific Chapter of AALL (WestPAC).
