Bio
Jennifer Green is an Assistant Principal of Literacy for DC Public Schools. Prior to working as an administrator, she taught 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades in DCPS and served as a Reading Specialist. She also spent two years as an Instructional Coach in Harford County, Maryland working in a Title I school where she oversaw the literacy program. After receiving her degree from Hood, Jennifer was invited to work as the Lead Teacher at Hood’s Reading and Study Skills Camp, the capstone to their Reading Specialist program. She oversaw graduate level students in their work with middle and high school scholars. Jennifer received the Fund for Teachers grant in 2005 to travel to Indonesia and establish a collaborative partnership with education stakeholders. She has a Master of Science in Reading Specialization from Hood College, an Administrator Certificate from Towson University, and a Bachelor of Science in Education from Shippensburg University.
