- Bio
- Stephanie Fischer is the Executive Director of Experiential Learning and an Executive in Residence at American University’s School for International Service. Stephanie teaches courses related to consulting, social enterprise, nonprofit management, and corporate social responsibility. Outside the classroom she leads curricular and non-credit student consulting engagements. Stephanie has an extensive background in social impact organizations, having held the positions of Chief Operating Officer at Microfinance Opportunities, Chief Program Officer at GlobalGiving and Associate Director at Ashoka. She continues to consult with organizations on management, leadership, and organizational effectiveness. Stephanie’s international assignments have included leading the Advisory Board Foundation’s child protection project in the Philippines, Cummins Inc.’s corporate social responsibility efforts in Mexico and abroad courses for graduate students.
