Bio
Kristen is a third year doctoral student in the political science program. She is interested in how philanthropy affects policy in the United States and beyond, as well as media coverage of this and related topics. She is also interested in exploring how the stated impacts of donors and philanthropic foundations align with real world outcomes, as well as how philanthropic initiatives may affect public opinion, voting patterns, policy, and ultimately, democracy itself.
Prior to coming to AU, Kristen worked as a grant writer in academic medicine in New York City.
