Bio
Yamai is a SIS BA graduate who focused on International Development and Public Health with a regional focus on Sub Saharan Africa. During her time at AU, she explored the use of traditional medicines in Dakar, Senegal, researched pediatric obesity prevalence at a federally qualified health center (FQHC) in Detroit with the University of Michigan, and completed the AU Abroad program in Nairobi, Kenya. Upon graduation, Yamai spent some time studying French and Senegalese politics as a Boren scholar before working in government contracting for two years. She is excited to return to SIS to support the EDH programs and work with students, faculty, and staff.
