Bio
Maura McFadden, Psy.D. is a Staff Psychologist at the Center for Well-Being Programs and Psychological Services. She received her doctorate in clinical psychology at Divine Mercy University in 2021. Before working at American University, Maura completed her predoctoral internship at Indiana University Counseling and Psychological Services with a concentration in Sexual Assault Crisis Services, and she completed her postdoctoral Fellowship at Princeton University Counseling and Psychological Services. Maura’s clinical approach is integrative and grounded in humanistic, psychodynamic, and cognitive behavioral frameworks. Her areas of clinical interest include: trauma-informed care, emotional regulation, family of origin concerns, grief and loss, religious/spiritual integration in mental health, and mind-body health.
