Bio
Lindsay Barclay's doctoral research focuses on state-building, political violence, political geography, and African politics. Her dissertation explores subnational variation in state reach in Algeria. She is also an development professional, with 8 years of experience in program management. Her experience includes project planning and implementation of USAID-funded governance and conflict-mitigation programs. Previously, she served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Morocco as a Small Business Development Facilitator. She has done field-work in Pakistan, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Morocco.
