Brendan serves as Project Manager supporting the Executive Director of Strategy Implementation in the Office of the President. His professional background includes management consulting for public and private sector clients and nonprofit management as an advocate for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Brendan prioritizes creativity and empathy in his work.
Prior to joining American University, Brendan worked as a digital strategy consultant for Gartner Inc., a leading IT research and advisory firm. He contributed to the Data and Market Analytics practice and High-Tech and State & Local Government industry teams. His favorite engagements include business process improvement for the LA County Coroner, market landscape and go-to-market strategy for a construction equipment rental company, and competitive analysis for a global social media firm. Brendan first gained consulting experience as an MBA candidate at UCLA Anderson School of Management, where he advised Twitch on content vertical expansion (livestreaming beauty) and Conservation International’s Meat Naturally Pty. on new market entry (South Africa-to-Botswana).
Brendan began his career with private healthcare software firm Epic before moving into the nonprofit world with Best Buddies International. At Best Buddies, he led school-based programs in Maryland and Kentucky, advocating for disability rights and creating opportunities for social inclusion. Brendan received his BS in Mathematical Business from Wake Forest University and grew up in Rockville, MD.
