Memorandum June 7, 2022

Dear Campus Partners:

Yesterday, the Auxiliary Services and Office of Information Technology teams successfully launched American University’s new integrated campus card management system, Atrium. This cutting-edge, cloud-based system will enable us to better serve our community using their University ID card across our campuses to access a variety of services including printers and copiers, residence hall laundry, building access, and cashless transactions at the University’s on and off campus retail partners.

In migrating to Atrium, we expect immediate user experience improvements for our community including real time meal plan adjustments and easier self-service options for adding Eaglebucks funds to accounts. We also expect increased reliability and security over our legacy system. Over the longer term, the Atrium system will better position us to add other innovative functionality for our community such as mobile ID cards and improved cashless checkout options.

We appreciate everyone’s support throughout this rollout, but we especially want to acknowledge the following individuals who were instrumental in migrating our operations to this new system:
