Parthiban David’s primary research interests are on the impact of corporate governance on corporate strategy and firm performance. He has studied how differences in the time horizons and performance goals of shareholders impact CEO compensation, long-term strategic investments, employee stakeholders, and firm performance. He has also investigated shareholder activism and its impact on long-term strategic investments and both financial and social performance. His ongoing research studies differences in institutional context and corporate governance in countries across the world and the differing roles of foreign and domestic owners in shaping corporate strategy.
