Bio
Sara Wilson is a scholar of twentieth-century American poetry and poetics. Her work focuses on the transpacific poetics of Asian American and Beat writers. Her current research project examines how whiteness is a tangible, historical force in midcentury Beat writing and social formations, which has implications for the late-twentieth century poetic avant-garde's relationship to Asian American literature as a body of work. Sara has taught literature and writing courses at American University, The University of Oklahoma, Beijing Normal University, and Mongolia International University.
